reality check - true facts and statistics about abortion

Partial-Birth Abortion

On July 24, 2002, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a ban on the abortion procedure known as “partial-birth” abortion, setting up a showdown vote in the U.S. Senate perhaps as early as this fall. Do you know what a partial-birth abortion is?

A partial-birth abortion involves pulling a late term, fully alive child feet first from her mother’s birth canal using forceps. The baby is fully delivered except for the head. At this point, the abortionist inserts surgical scissors into the base of the baby’s skull. The scissors are spread to enlarge the opening so that a high powered suction tube can be inserted and the brains evacuated, causing the skull to collapse. The lifeless body is then removed and discarded.

According to members of the abortion industry this procedure occurs several thousand time each year. Isn’t hit hard to believe that such a gruesome procedure could be happening right here in our country?
